Assembly line relocation

We moved an assembly line from one of our customer’s production halls to another. As a prerequisite for the installation, we determined the air and electrical energy requirements for the installation, as well as the electrical cable and air duct cross-sections, based on the layout and machine parameters previously received from the customer. During the project, we installed two rasters, covering an area of 600-700m2, which took 10 days.
Assembly line relocation

We suspended the rasters from trapezoidal panels in the ceiling using chains. During the approval process for the anchorage points, we held several rounds of consultations with the customer, jointly analysing the structural reports requested, and determining the weight of the air network and lighting fixtures connected to the rasters. As a result, we installed new power distribution cabinets. We prepared and installed three 6-metre trusses on the roof slab structure at a height of 14 m. Three luminaries weighing 150 kg each were suspended from the trusses. We installed 80 m2 of screens on the rasters, and then started relocating the assembly line, which consisted of nine machines, control stations and roller conveyor elements. We moved the machines using our 5-tonne forklift truck and our heavy duty roller skids. We levelled the machines using a 0.02/200 mm precision spirit level, and pressure tested the air supply system. After connecting the power and air systems, we performed electrical safety and loop resistance tests, and checked the direction of rotation of the machines. As part of the project we also provided the necessary materials for the installation of the process technology and the rasters. Once we had completed the relocation, we dismantled the old rasters, and took them to our customer’s site for disposal. The project was completed on time and to the client’s complete satisfaction.
