To move out the larger machine units, the hall doors had to be widened, which required structural design and the construction of supports. The machines were moved from a ramp onto the transport vehicles using a stepping procedure. In many cases, the overhanging lean-to made it difficult to lift the machines onto the transport vehicle.
Another challenge was that the power supply to the hall had not been fully installed and the access road was too narrow when the first machines arrived at the new site, so we worked with the customer to build turning islands to ensure safe working conditions. Inside the hall, the power rails were typically low, so we had to work with the customer to redesign the paths the machines would take (sometimes increasing them 300% more than planned), and the final positioning of the larger machine units.
The job was completed on time and to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
